The reasons I've been so scarce online these days

So, I haven’t been around much lately. It’s no secret that I’ve been super sick and exhausted for the last couple of months, so it probably won’t come as a surprise to learn that I’m pregnant. Pregnant times two, actually.

Yep. Two babies are due August 11th. To say that I’m kind of freaking out about that would be an understatement. I have no clue ( Read more... )

Congratulations! I have twins, boy and a girl, they'll be twelve in June. I had two kids before them, so the third pregnancy being a double bonus was a big surprise.

My advice: it takes time to get used to the idea of double babies even children as incredibly wanted and as incredibly loved as these babies are and are going to be.

If it helps, I found I started writing *more* after the twins were born as a survival reflex. It was the only place I could go in my head that was all mine.

You wrote more after they were born? This is excellent news! I've been terrified I wouldn't have any time to write, which is why I'm frantically trying to finish book two before July.

It's good to hear from someone who's survived twins! :-)

They are a constant challenge but the logistics get easier with practice. And, bonus, they play with each other as toddlers nicely. At least, mine did.

It's the double car seats, double feedings, double high chairs....that stuff can be overwhelming at first.
But it made me prioritize my time and writing moved way up the list once I knew how little time I would have.

Wow! Huge Congrats!!!! Twins! You'll love it... it's a ball having twins.

Just be cautious, be careful and listen to your body (look... I guy saying that!). Let the writing go if you're not ready, once their born you'll have time. (Babies sleep a lot.)

Glad you're feeling better!!!

Oh, that's right. You have twins, too, right? I feel like I'm in the Cool People's Club. :-)

I'm *hoping* the babies sleep a lot - and at the same time!
