That's pretty bloody rough.

I mean.. yeah, okay, he snuck in. Big deal. Maybe he should be made to apologise to the kids of the classes he sat in on. Maybe if he'd *really* wanted to go for a day he should have organised it through the private school.

But to punish him for his drive and enthusiasm? That's very crushing to his young spirit, not to mention plain stupid.

The degree of punishment seems to show that the school values the ability of its students to fit into a box more than looking outside of the box. They're training their students to be good little automatons who fit very neatly into the cogs of society, rather than spectacular achievers who, by their very achievements, make their automaton schoolmates feel inadequate.

Ooo look! Shiny rant button!

Kid should be given a bloody plaque to congratulate him on his enthusiasm, not given detention for looking out for his future.

XD That's awesome! I'd love to dress in a private school's uniform and sneak in for a day as well! ^-^

I agree 100% that the poor kid should be given a citation. how many kids would think of, never mind go off and DO such a thing? Sadly, had this happened over here the poor kid would have been arrested for tresspassing on another school's campus and probably would be missing more than just year-end celebrations.
