Saw this a while back but I thought I'd share it anyway. They are making have made (or remade, I don't know anymore ~_~") a live action version of Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time).

Yes Ikimono gakari is epic win alone :)
And Naka Riisa will star a new dorama next season too if you did not hear so far ^^.

Ooh you're a fan too? Kiyoe is so awesome. Wonder how such a loud voice could come from someone so small. haha..

What kind of drama this time?
I'm still waiting for Megane-chan hardsubs to come out :/

Well the new dorama seems to be a comedy again. Riisa will act a teacher teaching japanese to foreigners.
(and otaku french and a ninja liking swede .. or such around :p).

You should have seen how Kiyoe owned the Kouhaku this year ... especially in the all sing together stage where the SMAPPY doozed off and obviously failed his entry while Kiyoe blased in perfectly later ^^.

Dunno when and if subs will come out for it.....

They took some liberties with the live action that diverged a good deal from the animated version of the story.

I discovered Riisa properly through Time Traveller which was just released here in the UK officially 2 months ago. Yes we're slow...

Whilst I thought the live action film was pretty average - it did highlight to me what a talent she was. I was surprised to find she was the voice actress in the anime too and that was awesome!

Since then I've acquired all of Riisa's works (thanks Yesasia!) I've PMed you her more obscure stuff =]
