The spirit of Christmas

Well, now we have the makings of a white Christmas... with one heckuva windchill. I did pretty much all of my christmas shopping weeks ago, and this weekend just picked up stuff my parent's asked me to get.  My parents didn't start Christmas shopping until this weekend. Which is fine, seeing as most of us kids are getting cash or a gift certificate

... just this morning the christams-y-ness hit (^_^)

i've been dancing around to christmas music while prepping what food stuff I can for wednesday. part of the cheeriness is surely due to the plumber coming at 8L30 this morning and fixing my toilet :) and part of it due to having a most wonderful boy in my life for the last 2-3 months, but also, I seem to be pretty much on track with house prep and I'm about to go out shopping to pick up the last few things (ok - if I'm being honest, it's about half the stuffs - I"m running a smidge behind in that department this year) and I'm actually looking forward to dealing with the christmas crowds.... that's possibly the weirdest part.

About the only christmassy thing I've gotten into this year is making christmas cookies. And that's really got nothing to do with christmas, I just like baking. And cookies.

I got vaguely into the holiday mood writing a christmas present at yuletide, but that's about it. Otherwise, I've been carefully switching the radio stations at work to any station that advertises 'no christmas music, we promise'
Didn't even do a tree this year.
I know, I'm a grinch. (-:

Eh, I'm not much for Christmas music or movies. But you know, I would rather it feel festive than a really blah time of year. Not any big deal, just a calm sort of merry :)
