Day 1

Aug 01, 2009 01:26

Oh, my dear journal, if only words could explain the extent of my joy upon reflecting this past day's events! My experiences thus far haven't been all positive, I must admit, but I suppose where a candle is lit, a shadow must be cast!

It all began in a way that seemed much like a dream. I was on one of my ordinary, excruciatingly dull shifts when I heard the pitter-patter of soft little feet upon cobblestone and frantic cries. When I took a peek over the rooftop on which I had perched myself, I saw a white rabbit scurrying about on its hind legs, wearing a waistcoat with a pocket watch in its hands - or paws, perhaps? And he spoke! He was muttering to no one in particular about the time. Could you imagine that?

Naturally, I was curious, and so I attempted to confront this rabbit and ask him where he was off to in such a hurry. Wouldn't you? But I suppose that I startled the poor thing, considering how he stumbled back and scurried around before taking to all fours and dashing off! It wasn't often that I saw something so peculiar - and so interesting! - so I couldn't possibly let the cute little thing escape so easily!

I found it odd that the alley the white rabbit had run down was sloping slowly into darkness, but I didn't seem to realize the potential danger of the situation until my foot slipped and I fell into what seemed like an endless abyss!

Where I awoke was even stranger, I must say. It was a padded cell all around, with the exception of a small barred window on one side, and a heavy locked door on the other! And it was white - all white - save for the muddy brownish stains and sheen of dirt here and there. The smell of rotting corpses was quite evident as well - and, you know, they are only lovely while fresh and warm, oozing sweet crimson♥!

Oh, but back to what I was saying before: That place was hardly suiting for someone like myself, and so I decided to use my beloved scythe to cut myself out! Ah, it had seemed like an eternity since I had heard its masculine roar and felt its enticing vibrations♥!

Once outside, I found myself in what seemed like a series of underground tunnels, doors lining its walls. I wandered about while attempting to make sense of my surroundings, and just when I had begun to feel frustration settle in, my eyes fell upon something that I never would have expected to see in such an ugly and dank place - the most beautiful of creatures!

Hair dark and sleek like the raven's wings and skin like the sculpted marble of virgin statues - oh, and eyes that shone like fresh blood with a bite that would match its bitter copper taste! He was just as graceful, and even more stunning than he had appeared in my dreams during those long days that had passed since I last saw him...

SEBAS-CHAN! ♥♥♥

Ah! It is difficult to recall what happened just after, as I was so very excited to reunite with my dear Romeo! I believe it was shortly after that Alice - a young woman with a darling face and fierce eyes, wearing an apron splattered with fresh blood, and holding a knife within her hands - found us and led us away. She took us to a room that appeared to be a normally furnished household, with the exception of the same tunnel walls.

It was at this strange room that we were told that Wonderland had summoned us by way of the white rabbit, for the strange world had fallen into darkness and was experiencing a strenuous war that it was eager to end. Its Mad-God (or something along those lines) - whose name I cannot remember - had gone missing and thus caused all this fuss. This world itself expected Sebas-chan and I to fight to end this war!

To be quite honest, I couldn't care less about finding a solution to Wonderland's problems! I find war to be an utterly enthralling concept. It usually seems to be that one selfish being is the cause of it all, and the masses are silly enough to appoint them the power to do so, causing lives to crumble as their loved ones are plucked out of existence. The sense of danger and uneasiness is ever present, and the smell of bloodshed lingers in the air - what could be more exciting!?

(Also, perhaps I should mention that Sebas-chan and I will be together here until the war is over? How silly would I be to assist in bringing it to an end then!)

We also met a man by the name of Yohji Kudou there - young, handsome, and polite with a lovely abdominal region. (I know this because he wore a cropped shirt that exposed all his midsection! And this fashion is acceptable where he is from, too! Fancy that!) He claimed he was from a different world entirely, from which he was an assassin. That surely made him all the more intriguing.

After handing each of us a guide to this world and a journal (which I am writing in now), Ms. Alice set us off to a place she called Phantasmagoria. It didn't take us too very long to get there, despite how we were set to scale the mountainside by foot since our counterpart, Mr. Kudou, is a mortal and unable to travel otherwise!

Phantasmagoria seems much like home, only perhaps set back in time ever so slightly. It certainly has the feel of the streets of Britain - and it even contains a district by the name of 'Whitechapel'. Quite curious! That particular area contains many questionable looking people, and is thus likely the most interesting sector of this peculiar city! It's where I reside now, in fact.

Mr. Kudou managed to obtain two hotel rooms for our small group, free of charge, through his charm. (He is, quite obviously, very fond of ladies.) In one of these wonderful rooms, I almost spent a wonderful night alone with Sebas-chan, in a single bed!

Had it not been for Mr. Kudou's spout of courageousness, I would have! I even had Sebas-chan where I wanted him, pinned beneath me with his body open for my pleasure! But, alas, he is now in a room somewhere on this floor with that other man! Fate was not on my side this evening, I suppose, as now I'm all alone in this room with no one to entertain me. (Although rediscovering you, little journal, was quite the scare! That made this otherwise dull hour a bit more interesting.)

I think I shall end my entry here tonight, as I've become quite restless, and think that I may wander out into the town to browse what shops may be open this evening. Wish me luck!
