So the journal is quiet as always. I promised pictures, but I don`t think I`ll be uploading them until I switch host families because I still haven`t installed the software on their computer and there`s only a few weeks left until I change to my next anyway

Hate to break it to you, but there most certainly is nicotine in shisha tobacco. Shisha tobacco is just regular tobacco leaves mixed with additives such as honey, fruits of various kinds (in your case, apple), and molasses.

It may be easier to smoke than a cigarette, but it's really no healthier.

I was wondering if it was really true. The finlander told me there was no nicotine in it... well you got me. I have no proper reason to believe that there wasn`t nicotine in it. I`m not surprised if there is. Although this wouldn`t eliminate it all, isn`t it true that water to some extent absorbs nicotine? If so that would help explain how the buzz from the shisha doesn`t feel at all the same as that of a cigarette.

Yes, it's true that water absorbs some of the nicotine.
Also, remember that there are no added poisons in shisha as there are in cigarettes. That could change the feel too.

And make it a tad easier on your lungs. In any case, smoking anything on a regular basis is rough on your lungs. Thanks for clearing that up for me by the way.
