I feel like I am being torn part

I finally got a hold of my sister...and she is doing great...Engaged, going to college...planning ahead...And the one thing that hurts is....I promised her mother...I would not tell her I was her sister...Now that is harder than it sounds. I love my family...I want to be in contact with her...I want her to know who I am...but I promised...Picture

I think you should tell her. That kind of promise is stupid anyway... I'm sorry, but if I had a sister I never knew about and then someone told me, I'd be very very happy. I don't know why your mom is telling you not to tell her, but it isn't right, for both you and her.
