I don't get it. Ok, so there was this nasty flu going around Mexico City. An article I read at the start of this said there were thousands sick and at least a hundred dead. Tally yesterday...130 US cases, 250 world wide with 100 of those in mexico city. 1 death in the US, 12 in Mexico. A news report coming in from NYC said three public schools ( Read more... )

And it's not all that scary becuase the WHO and CDC are both saying to treat it liek any other flu. It's highly contagious, but no more dangerous or eadly then the normal flus.

It's the new SARS or West Nile. The news always has this fear pendulum going on to get people to watch them. If it's not some new sickness, it's a new terrorist. In a few months when the Swine Flu dies down, we'll have some new terrorist. Unless we get another sickness where everyone freaks the fuck out.
