So my cell phone dissappeared today...like it went *poof* out of my pocket. If found pleas return it to me, as its is probably cold and alone out there in the real world.

ive always thought cingular should put tracking devices on their phones so when people lose it, they can find it for them. of course their are downsides like parents monitoring where their kids are... but yeah

Now why the hell would a cell phone company do that? When peope lose phones, the company makes money.

Tanquat: It's not an invasion of privacy if you sign a piece of paper giving them permission to do it, which you do when you buy a cell phone. 95% of new cell phones have a tracking protocol built into their software allowing 911 to trace where the call is coming from, so it's not secret or non-existent technology, it's just that it would lose them money if they employed it for everyday people, so...

Sanjay, good luck finding it man. I'll keep an eye out. If it's at school you only have like 6 days to find it :D
