Hard Drive Recovery

Anyone have any recommendations for hard drive recovery.
The sucker powers up but doesn't boot up on my laptop.

my 3 month old macbook drive died yesterday after installing the Mac OS X 10.5.2 update. pissed me off. i had the drive replaced but couldn't get any data off of the drive. i was lucky and had most of my important data backed up but i have been re-installing all of my damn software all day. lame.

wish i knew a place that could get your data back for you. i'd look around online - you'll probably need to ship your drive somewhere, anyway. expect to spend some cash :-(

had this problem a few months back - i built a new pc, then tried to power it up again and it's worked since. good luck.

i'd also say to try the drive in an external enclosure.

i should've mentioned. this is an external hard drive. i don't really think there is anything wrong with the data or storage. it's just that the drive doesn't spin up and load when it's plugged in.
