*Sanji takes Zoro on a detour back to the ship once the reward money has been safely given. The obvious reason is to make sure Nami gets to the ship with her loot safely but once there Sanji slips aboard and gathers a few things. Money for booze and dinner for one. The banana lube for another. Sanji smirked as he realized this probably did put him

*Sanji scans the menu and decides on seated scallops to share with Zoro and then the filet with a glass of wine. Decision made he looks at Zoro with a relaxed grin.*
"Know what you want, Zoro?"
Reply
*He supposes he should eat something, too, though. He glances over the menu, knowing he'll probably go with a sea king burger.*
Reply
"Of course."
*Sanji let's his foot seek out Zoro's under the table to caress it playfully.*
"But that isn't all you want, is it?"
Reply
*Zoro feels himself relax--he didn't even know he'd gone tense--with relief over the subject change. He smirks a little, thoughtfully.*
"I don't know. Sensei never had an unkind word to say about pirates. Not that I heard, anyway. He'd probably be more disappointed to know that I've let myself get so emotionally attached to people."
Reply
"What? Swordsman aren't allowed to connect to other people? To have nakama? Or lovers?"
[ooc: LOL! I know. I intended to go to bed early too! PFFT! Good night then!]

*"Humans are fragile." He stops, assaulted by the memory of Sensei telling him that, Sensei's eyes never showing any emotion, even when Kuina died, when Zoro himself was crying like he'd never be able to cry again. He wonders how difficult that must have been...
He shakes his head to clear all that away.*
"But that was his experience. Others see it differently."
[I sure as hell do.]

*Sanji thinks about how Zoro had described their time as a waste and how focused on training he had been. He had felt like a distraction.*
"Was that recent for you, by any chance? When you train you throw off the aura that...well that you agree with your sensei. Or perhaps used to?"

But also, he kind of wants to kiss him something awful.
He doesn't, though, mostly because the waitress is coming with their food.*

*Sanji sees the waitress coming up with their food and is actually a bit disappointed.*
[God what a sap, I don't want to let go of his damn hand!]
*Then his happiness returns because this is just the scallop appetizer he ordered. He and Zoro can be like this a little longer and munch one handed. He doesn't even give a damn that the waitress clearly sees the tender hand touching.
The waitress refills their drinks and tells them their meal will be out in just a few minutes and then disappears back to her other tables.*

*Zoro's pleased at the food's arrival; he's a little hungrier than he realized. But he's glad he doesn't have to let go of Sanji's hand just yet.*

"What do you think, marimo? Should I feed it to you?"
Reply
"Can I ask you something?"
Reply
*Sanji sounds curious. Zoro really hasn't asked much of him so far.*
[This should be interesting. At least get us off that dark topic.]

[OOC: sanji- You're my marimo vice. I wish I knew how to quit you! Random brokeback ref popped into my head.]

It's been a long day, with the cow and the bird-man and hike through the woods. And this date, while nice, has had him remembering and talking about things he hasn't thought about in a long time, and his emotions are kind of all over the place. So he tries to put them back in order while he appreciates the drink and being with Sanji, letting that happiness remain.
Though as he looks at the cook, drawn to his lips and his neck and his fingers, and his mind keeps going to their kisses and the promise of something more, a lot of that happiness is rather quickly replaced by desire.*

He slips her tip into her hand as well and as she leaves, Sanji takes the final sips of his wine. He holds up the empty glass as he finishes it in triumph and then gently places it on the table.*
"It was good having a meal for once without a lot of grabbing hands trying to steal everything. Ready, Zoro?"
[ooc: after sexy times, any thoughts on next adventure? Or sexy times? I mean the sexy times approaching have any thoughts of new things? Bed things? Also! Just watched two more eps of pushing daisies! Is the next part of your fic involving Zoro finding out his life was inexchange for the funeral director?]

[OOC: Mm. I did have a position in mind for sexy times, but I may end up saving that for later 'cuz it would ~mean something~ and Zoro just told his soft side to shut up, so. XD But just while typing this, I thought of something else so it's all good... But right now my thoughts are just involving positions/what sex act Zoro's gonna initiate, so I'll think about crazy-bed tricks in a bit. Or leave that up to you~
And no adventure ideas yet. Let me know if you've got something in mind.
Yay, Pushing Daises~ Nah, I wasn't planning on sticking too close to the actual PD storyline for my sequels.]

*Sanji gets up, adjusts his tie and leads the way back to the ship. Briefly he wonders if he should buy them a night at a Inn...but really, he DID just pay for dinner and Nami and the crew would probably live it up in town with some of Nami-sans new found wealth (whether she liked it or not.). The ship should be emptyish and that's just as good.*
"You enjoy dinner, I take it?"
