*After training the hell out of his body all day has done nothing to get rid of the thoughts in his mind, Zoro's in a sour mood. He glares at Nami as she gives him the bag of coins, muttering under his breath about money-hungry witches and how all he wants is to drink, and drink, and drink some more, and if any stupid island people try to stop him he will slit their throats and drink their blood.
Chopper and Usopp shirk away from the demonic aura emanating from the swordsman.*
"Z-Zoro's scary!"
*Usopp gulps and grins shakily.* "D-Don't worry about that, Chopper. You just stick with me, the Always-Wins-Every-Contest-Ever Captain Usopp."
*Sanji had been debating who he wanted to share a room at an inn with or maybe if it would be bettter to keep his money and stay on the ship. Zoro's comment makes him make a nose of disgust and was about to fight with him when Robin cuts in.*
"That's actually very appropriate, swordsman-San. The red festival is the named not only to celebrate the color of love, but the color of the blood that used to wash the streets when the festival was over."
"Used to. The festival used to be a week long battle of the banished and the islands greatest champions. At the end only the strongest survivors we allowed to stay with open arms. Now a days though there is only one day of battle and it is contained to the city arena. The rest of the games are supposedly harmless."
*Robin smiles. Sanji considers if there might be a cooking contest, win nami her promised treasure right away and then enjoy the festival.*
[Wait, she said they still have battles. The prize for that is probably huge.]

*Zoro follows his lead, lifting his refilled glass with a nod of thanks and trying not to let the man's smile do anything to him. But it does do something to him, he knows, as much as he doesn't want it to. He looks away and drinks, hoping nothing showed on his face.*
Re: (new thread)sanjikuroashiJanuary 30 2011, 20:50:45 UTC
[Wait, why is here drinking with me when Luffy was excited to be all over him. If I were Luffy, I'd want to take Zoro somewhere private where we could... Where we could, what? Shit. You're not Luffy so stop thinking about Zoro like he's something you could ever have.]
[Is Zoro not happy in the relationship? Do Not be happy by that thought.]
"I guess I was to distracted to notice? What's going on? The Captain taking things to lightly, getting to you or something?"
[I mean hell, I just figured out they were together an hour ago! How the hell am I supposed to know there's something troubling going on between them.]
(new thread)demon_cutterFebruary 7 2011, 08:51:24 UTC
*Zoro frowns slightly. Briefly, the more sensible part of him suggest ending this silliness now. Telling Sanji he was right about him earlier, that he really has no interest in any of that. Ever.
He takes a moment to stall think, and drink, before answering.*
"Hypothetically. I would wait until I was sure I wouldn't be wasting my time, and I let them know and take it from there."
*Zoro pauses, realizing that answer probably isn't the best if they're talking about relationships and not the meaningless encounters he's indulged in. His brow furrows some in faint annoyance at this whole thing.*
"But, look. I haven't had anything serious, and I've never needed to initiate something. I just know that I don't like dancing around any subject, and I don't care about so-called romantic gestures."
[ooc: it took me forever to think of what this zoro might say, orz. i wanted to give sanji something more substantial, but the muse wasn't cooperating.]
Re: (new thread)sanjikuroashiFebruary 7 2011, 09:22:10 UTC
"Huh. Doesn't sound like much of a plan. Just wait and see. And what do you mean, wasting your time, you mean when you like someone they aren't automatically worth fighting for? Somehow I'm disappointed. I figured you of all people would be more...passionate and firey. But you seem more cautious...AH, because you haven't been really serious probably."
[At least I know he's never been serious before. And that he does have some experience. He's obviously not serious about me either. Maybe I can suggest a one night stand or something. Get him out of my systerm...that wouldn't ruin us as nakama, would it?]
Re: (new thread)demon_cutterFebruary 7 2011, 09:42:22 UTC
*Zoro bristles a little.*
"Why would I fight for someone who had no interest in me? Don't misunderstand--if I fall in love, I'd give my all. But hell yes I'm cautious first, passionate later. I'm not offering my devotion to someone who doesn't want it."
*He looks down at his drink as he calms.*
"I have to wait and see. Especially if they're--" [Don't. Don't.] "--already important."
Re: (new thread)sanjikuroashiFebruary 7 2011, 10:04:55 UTC
"Who wouldn't want your devotion? I mean, has anyone actually rejected it?"
[I just can't picture it...If you had someone so strong and good looking dedicated to you...you'd feel warm, safe, special, happy...I bet. If that sounds good to me what does that mean? I'm not the princess, am I?!?!?]
Re: (new thread)sanjikuroashiFebruary 11 2011, 01:31:17 UTC
*Sanji joins Zoro and takes the lead out of the bar, feeling pleased that now that the alchol has cleared entirely and he hasn't had to pay for it. He touches Zoro's wrist as they walk and points up ahead to the 'Velvet Headboard', the village's Inn.*
"I wonder if that's supposed to make it sound more romantic..."
*Zoro could care less what it's called; all he needs an inn for is sleep. His brow furrows slightly as he realizes how close the tavern and the inn are.*
"...Has it been there the whole time?"
[How did I miss it? I was right; it must've been hiding.]
(new thread)demon_cutterFebruary 13 2011, 18:46:18 UTC
*Zoro takes full advantage of this time without Sanji right in front of him. His mind races over every little thing about the cook (how irritating his voice is when he's rudely waking Zoro up from a nap, how wobbly he goes around women, his smell, the way his hips move sometimes when he's stirring something, the way he sounds when he speaks those fancy foreign words like "croquembouche", the way his tongue sneaks out to lick something off his lips). And the more he thinks about him (how he pisses Zoro off in a way no one ever has, how just one snide remark can make Zoro feel like the biggest fool--but then the angry look on Sanji's face when the tables are turned, his laugh and the way it makes Zoro want to laugh too--though he rarely does, his knuckles, the way his breath felt against Zoro's lips those two [ooc: three?] days ago, the way nearly every emotion is always there somewhere in that one visible eye and Zoro starts to wonder if he's already been paying way too much attention to these things without even noticing
( ... )

[Definitly thinking about him too much.]
*Sanji thinks as he finishes drawing a chibi likeness of Zoro's face, quirked eyebrow, three earings and all, he adds a question mark over his head as if puzzled why Sanji would waste time thinking about him and not enjoying the best shower in his life.*
[Stop looking at me like that! I don't know. You got under my skin and into my dreams, okay?! Now we're rooming together as if we're newlyweds. No, don't think it's some kind of fate, bastard! Stop looking at me. I'm naked you know...pervert chibi marimo.]
*Zoro tilts his head back, lets it thunk against the wall as he sighs.
He wants Sanji.
But he doesn't want a relationship with Sanji.
But he recognizes the possibility that wanting Sanji could eventually develop into wanting a relationship with Sanji.
Especially if he gets Sanji.
Unless getting Sanji turns out to be really lousy, or somehow completely satisfies his desire or curiosity or whatever it is, and he doesn't want Sanji anymore.
He finds himself frowning as he thinks about that. Then frowns harder. Because that should be the most appealing result--not wanting Sanji.*
*Sanji's hand hovers over the fogged glass, intending to wipe Zoro away. He can't though. His Zoro creation is too cute to destroy, a little v for a mouth. He decides to leave it. Once the fog clears no one would be the wizer [ooc: except since the oil of his fingers are on the glass the next time the bathroom gets steamy, it will be visable. a potential clue Sanji is thinking about him, if you want Zoro to have it.]. Matter settled he washes himself, determined not to think of the marimo. The chibi zoro etched in the glass gets a nice view of that failure as Sanji thinks back to Zoro's offer of a blowjob and ends up jacking himself off, fantasing just what he let himself miss out on. He blows his load with a groan and watches it disappear down the drain with regret.*
