:(( i'm sowwy. I'd suggest really talking to her. I would just tell her what you're telling us, you respect her and you know she's raised kids herself, but that she should let you do it the way you think is best. she can help but she cannot go so far as to sneak mcdonalds food for the baby when you're not around. thats just not right. it would make me really angry. why is she so keen on giving the baby such crappy food? id understand if it was like chocolate or something, but good god, mcdonalds french fries??? seriosuly, talk to her, no one else is going to do it for you. eric won't, we can't, you have to do it yourself.
yes I know you are right and I have spoken to her! but she is the type of person that has to have things her way or no other way. For example she tells her kids that if they get tattoos she wont be their mother anymore even though one of her sons is 21 years old (although thats her decision because thoes are her children) but she also constantly tries to control issues that should not be her decision. Such as always telling us that if we pierce the baby's ears then she wont be in his life anymore blah blah. Its just so immature and I can understand that she may not like piercings on boys but honestly its our decision! I get so furious because I feel like I'm not really the parent. Parents have authority over their children and their decisions should be respected even if everyone doesnt agree with them. I feel as if theyre setting limits to my decisions and they arent letting me be the parent. I am sorry if Im confusing you. I just needed to vent. I just feel so mad because his family makes it seem like I am crazy or a "bad parent"
