Personal History: Cassedey Wren Aveada was born on February 20th, to Jemma and Anthony Aveada. Her father's profession as an archaeologist kept her family moving constantly. As such, she was born in Los Angeles, despite the fact that Jemma always wanted her child to be born in their native city of Durham, England. Cassedey spent the first two of her life in Los Angeles, where as a toddler she developed an extreme affinity for the water. She spent most of her time in Los Angeles without making many friends. From early on Cassedey had a love of knowledge, and would spend her time examining things and exploring places near her beach-side home. Her love of knowledge and learning was something she kept active through out her later years of adolescence.
Following L.A., her family moved to Japan. When she was six she moved again, this time to Iran, where she had a very hard time fitting in. This was when her love of knowledge became an escape from the real world. Cassedey spent most of her time locked in her room reading anything she could get her hands on. After six months they moved again, to Brazil. Once again, Cassedey found herself mostly alone. Although she and her father did go exploring quite often, she rarely played with children her own age. Cassedey did, however, take it upon herself to learn about the culture she was in, and loved partaking in the festivals that were held. Additionally, because she was near the water, she was able to develop her swimming and surfing talents. Cassedey's family prepared to move again, this time to Africa; Jemma objected, and Anthony obliged, but was unable to do anything about it. As a solution, Jemma and Cassedey moved back to Durham, while Cassedey's father traveled on. From ages 8 through 11 she lived in Durham and attended a local public school, while her mother took a job as manager of a small hotel. Once in Durham, she began to make more friends and finally settled into a "normal" life. She still retained her love of nature and love of learning. Her fiends often called her a bookworm or a tomboy, depending on the situation they found her in.
She led a relatively normal life those three years, never knowing that her father was a wizard. On her 11th birthday, her mother revealed the truth. Her dad was not exactly an archaeologist, as Cassedey had been told, but was in fact doing research for the Ministry of Magic on different muggle cultures through out the world, and was in the process of publishing a series of books.
Cassedey's reaction to the information was somewhat contradictory. On the one hand, she was upset that she hadn't been told by either of her parents. She felt that being a witch or wizard is a significant part of one's self, and having been sheltered from this knowledge kept her ignorant, which was something Cassedey never wanted to do be. However, she understood the reasons why they didn't tell her. Cassedey was isolated enough as it was during the majority of her childhood, and the fact that she was a witch might have alienated her even more.
Personality: Cassedey is kind and caring, but most of all empathetic. She is in tune with other people's emotions, and loves giving out advice, or mediating arguments. She is a very serious student, but isn't only book-smart; having moved quite often she developed a defensive wall of wit and cleverness. Taking after her mother, Cassedey is normally very even tempered. However, there is one sure fire way to anger her. When people, particularly boys, believe that females are inferior, Cassedey blows a gasket. Not that she is a raging feminist, but she believes that her gender is just as strong as the male sex, and there is no reason to debate otherwise. Taking after her father, Cassedey is impulsive, loves adventure, and often takes risks. Cassedey sees it as the greatest complement when she is told she reminds someone of her dad. He is her role model, and she feels closer to him than she does to her mother. Also a trait of her father's, Cassedey doesn't admit fear, nor does she want to seem vulnerable.
Hobbies & talents: Surfing [Cassedey learned to surf when she moved to Brazil, and instantly fell in love with the sport. Her love for water and nature helped her become better at it. During her summer holidays she would often go to the beach to practice] hexing The summer before Hogwarts she practiced as many spells as she could, and found that she was good at hexes.
Weaknesses: needs action [Cassedey spends all the time she isn't reading outside. Whether she's playing sports, or shopping, or just being with friends, she needs that level of stimulation] bored easily [When lacking said stimulation, Cassedey becomes cranky] loud [in sheer volume, Cassedey has a loud voice. Often times she finds herself speaking too loudly when she should be whispering. Her parents sometime refer to her as "the noise"] day-dreams [Cassedey will often find herself day dreaming when she's bored or alone, and without books.]
