I have mixed feelings about electronic books. Being a frequent traveller who often lugs about at least one hundred pounds in paper, the idea of having a device on which to read a file certainly sounds like a great lightening of my load. On the other hand, the subjective experience of holding a book in one's hands is far more pleasurable than reading by the dim light of e-book.

Even worse, it contributes to the increasig the technological divide between wealthy and poverty nations; actually, that is me thinking too much.

Hmm, yes, but then I would think there was already a significant divide in terms of literacy, as well as the simple availability of books.
