we went to highlands, nc this weekend, recommended to us by a friend. we had planned on hiking but the weather was cold and foggy. so instead we rented a little cabin room with a fireplace and made fires and warmed up in the hot jacuzzi which they had built separate out in the forest. when the jacuzzi got too hot, we slipped out and walked naked ( Read more... )

awake & having some green tea, slowly slowly getting ready for yoga this morning. i will drive my scooter to class, O. takes my bicycle.

we are now one week back from california. i miss it. i love california & o. did too even at first sight.

O. is here visiting until april 3rd so I took him to California.

We spent three days in Yosemite, back-country skiing. we stayed at this little hut, built in the 40's and modeled after Switzerland's hut system:

while waiting for the train this morning, a short middle-aged man with receding hair and glasses was walking up and down the tracks. he had on dirty jeans, an oversided long sleeve shirt and black shoes. i couldn't place his gait at first, he was jutting his legs out to the side as he walked and when he stood still he still marched his feet ever ( Read more... )
