I watched *Sunday* last night and couldn't believe my eyes at all the relationship stuff we got.

You know I don't 'ship anyone on the show, but it was glaringly obvious to me that Weir and John are not going anywhere romantically. Weir happily played straight into that guy's hands with the lunch date. I felt a little embarrassed for her continually trying to imply the lunch was more (even though she was right) but it proved she knew accepting him was also accepting possibly a little romance in her life ( ... )

My response Part I! I got long winded!

Wasn't it amazing? I was like- what? Did you save it all up for one ep? I can't complain however, the last several eps ending with this one have been very good in the relationship department.

If you ask me, that's what TPTB were trying to accomplish. They've had the very rabid sweirs beating their breasts and demanding they ( ... )

My response Part II

Though the one misstep in the episode was John denying he thought of Teyla in that way. But then in the next breath he was desperate with worry for her. My take on John's feelings is intellectually he doesn't openly admit any feelings, not even to himself. But in a crisis his instincts take over and those are the times his feelings come bubbling out. Maybe TPTB need to plant the seeds of romance with the audience, but still keep their leading man free to woo the alien women on weekly planet missions?Could be, but it could also just be that TPTB are not ready to move this relationship to the next level yet and therefore they are leaving John in the "oblivious" state for the moment. I also saw some subtext in the scene to make me think John was totally lying when he said there wasn't anyone there because of the look on Ronon's face when he said it AND the look on John's face when Ronon came out and asked him about Teyla. It was like- ‘oh shit- you see that do you?’ John’s not much better at the personal ( ... )
