Sixty-two miles; Jinki/Taemin; PG-13
note: I lied. The scene that inspired the title isn't here (although something like it is here). This thing is turning into a monster that gets longer each time I try to write it...

I like!! I was dreading the end of the chapter! I'm drawn in completely, poor jinki he's so soft yet so perfectly calm and reasonable.... while he's most definitely breaking on the inside. And Taemin can't do anything... he can't. *sigh* poor dears, it's going to take a lot more heartache to sort through all of this for sure.

Thank you again for the lovely writing ^^ Looking forward tot he next chapter

Because I update so infrequently, I have this urge to give out spoilers. xD But instead of doing that, I'll try to get the next chapter out more quickly. Since it's obvious though, I guess I can say that in this story, while Jinki's trying to be an adult for his sisters, Taemin's going to try to be an adult for Jinki. He's helpless at this point but eventually he does grow. Not into someone perfect, but someone better.

Thanks for sticking with me, for reading, and for your lovely comment! <3

Hey I just realized, the title of the boys' rumored 2012 Korean comeback single is Super Hero, isn't it? xD Admittedly, sometimes I feel like I'm writing original fiction with two characters who just happened to be named Jinki and Taemin rather than writing fanfic -- I think they're somewhat OOC here. But I feel like the admiration is there in real life too. Earlier in the year, I watched some radio show clips and Taemin was such a cute kid. :') Ah, the good things he would say about Jinki and the little anecdotes he would share...

J'ai une certaine fascination pour les langues et je suppose que je parle français, un petit peu, ouais. Mais je ne dirais pas que je parle couramment. De temps en temps, il peut s'avérer difficile de bien m'exprimer parce que ça fait trop longtemps que je n'ai pas utilisé cette langue. J'ai perdu la plupart de mon français. ;A;

Haha they are part of your motivation to get employed? xD OMG lol "wide-eyed blob" I love this description. But it's so true though. When he spoke his eyes would just open really wide and he would look so earnest. Taem is adorable, even more so when it's leader and maknae playing together and both of them are being little kids. (One reason to love those idol athletic competitions ( ... )

Haha I'm sure everybody has something that they're a little OCD about. xD; The need to be in control of where everything is (and an almost territorial sense when it comes to your room?) -- I can empathize with that! I don't like my stuff being moved around without me knowing...which has been a driving force in my straightening things out from time to time, just so nobody else would have reason to ( ... )

Haha yeah at the time I read it, I only knew some of the stories because damn it's a lot of mythology. But I think it's possible to be drawn to it even without the understanding all the analogies. The Trojan War might have a bit of a historical basis, I don't know, scholars and people disagree over whether there actually was a war. That's the thing though, mythology is born in part from history and the further back you trace the events, the harder it becomes to distinguish between the two.

Nooo Pygmalion's story is separate from that of Aphrodite and Adonis (although Aphrodite/Venus is the one who granted Pygmalion's wish of bringing his statue to life). Well, overall, it's pretty clear how little he thinks of himself. And on top of that, like you said, he thinks Minho's too good for him. Actually, if you go further back to "chorus", you can see it isn't limited to Minho. He compares himself and Jonghyun to Castor and Pollux: "You will not be the Castor to his Pollux, you cannot, will not drag down him down to Styx. He’s worthy of ( ... )
