Fandom...

Been doing some random fandom reflections lately... I truly find this whole 'psychology of fandom' thing to be really interesting, and I've always thought it would be one of those topics that would be really interesting to study in an academic light (there are some interesting books that have actually been written; see Amazon). So yeah, this is ( Read more... )

I totally loved L&S when I was a kid! (I would says still love it, but I haven't seen it in ageeees. I blame this on Nick at Nite and TVLand going down the tubes.) The show like that for me was always I Love Lucy. I was obsessed. It kind of waned off as I got older but I still will drop anything I am doing to watch it if I see an episode on tv, even though I have every one memorized. I need to buy the series on dvd since I only have it on VHS. :(

Anyway, I think your L&S love is awesome. :D I will forever hold a special place in my heart for my favorite shows on the original Nick at Nite and it makes me sad I never have anyone to talk about them with.

Awww, thanks for reading it all! It is kind of an obscure fandom, I must say... but yeah, I just find fandom really interesting. Plus, I like psycho-analyzing myself, hehe...

Hey, if it makes you happy, that's all that counts, right? There are way more expensive (and dangerous!) hobbies to have!

Awww!!

I can relate, honestly. LAS isn't the "kool kid" fandom (BUT WE ARE THE KOOLEST KIDS). But it's just...fun. Light and enriching.

YOU WENT TO THE MADONNA CONCERT AT THE FLEET CENTA?! REALLY? Man tickets went for that like hotcakes...

Yaaaahh, it was AMAZING! I'm not a huge Madonna fan, so it's not something I would've pursued on my own, but we all got free pairs of tickets at work, and it ended up being really entertaining - the effects were pretty impressive, and she is QUITE a performer.
