A Beauty for a Beauty

Ah, Liberty USA, such a beauty I have heard you to be. Imagine my surprise to discover, upon my arrival, that Liberty has changed its name to Warsaw! It must be one of those oddities that Liberty seems to be known for. How impulsive. Astounding. This is just the place for me ( Read more... )

How 'bout if I jump right into this drama? (Third time's the charm.... darn typo's.) remylee July 16 2010, 05:51:49 UTC
You really got sixty cats into one box all at the same time?

Also, where is it that you're from? Because over here, it's not exactly common to fed-ex yourself to anyone's home

And thus, the true catfight begins... santorinithera July 16 2010, 20:55:03 UTC
Indeed I did. It was a very spacious box.

And I'm come from the beautiful Greek islands. Santorini, to be exact. In my culture, we're taught to be kind to others who beg shelter. It seems a pity that I see so many people left sleeping under awnings like the cats and dogs of home. And even then, the strays are well taken care of in Santorini.

It'll definitely be interesting. remylee July 16 2010, 21:19:05 UTC
Even so... That's so impressive it borders on frightening.

While you make an excellent point, I was asking more about the act itself than its expected reception. Do people often mail themselves to one another in Greece? Isn't that dangerous?

FedEx has a special for mailing Exes. It's not dangerous at all, just expensive.

I randomly came upon your blog and was quite intrigued when my eye caught the words sixty and felines. If it's not to rude to ask...what breeds are your cats?

What a darling question to ask! The truth is, my little loves are all kinds of breeds. Among them the Maine Coon, Rex, Bombay, Chausie, Balinese, Somali, Munchkin, a variety of mixed short hairs, semi-long hairs, and of course the Aegean Cat. I love them for all their different colors and personalities. They're such an integral part of my life, they seem to just blend right in (http://0.tqn.com/d/gogreece/1/0/b/f/cats_in_greece_grey_500.JPG) Here are a few pictures!

They're beautiful! Reminds me of the many cats I have back home. I wish I had been able to bring them with me...

Anyway, if ever you need someone to look after them please keep me in mind.

Thera, darling...

Do forgive me if query seems impolite but-

Whyever did you not speak if you perhaps thought someone was attempting to free you?

Isn't it obvious? I did not feel like speaking. Would you speak kindly to a burgler or an individual who simply waltzed into your home uninvited?
