I've used the manual kind, a cheap-0 electric one and the hospital grade (a rental). I'd either go with the manual or rent a hospital pump. You can get glass bottles that will fit onto the pump if you aren't too crazy about plastic. The ones I had were made by lansinoh (the lanolin people, I don't remember how to spell it. I'm helpful, aren't I?) and said "my mommy's milk" milk on them, which I could have done without, but whatever. If Nate won't take a bottle, a spoon or medicine dispenser might do the trick. Here's good old dr. sears' info on pumping and storing.

Good luck!

I have two manual pumps. everyone i know has the electric double pumps, and think i'm crazy, but they've worked great for me. I got a free hand bicycle pump from Medela from the hospital and it sucked. Could never get more than a few drops from it, and it gave me sore wrists. My MIL gave me hte Avent Isis hand pump and it is sooo awesome. Totally easy to use, you just pujmp a few times and it squrits the milk right out. i don't use the petal thing, it always falls off. I just pump straight into the avent bottles. I also use the glass bottles, my mommies milk, i think from lansinoh. we hardly ever use the milk, but i do pump almost every morning about 4 or 5, so that i don't get too engorged.
