do you like anthologies? or do you prefer to read a book written by one author? it's really apples and oranges i guess. but, i have an idea for a book, and the book could either be all me (which is a lot to live up to!) or could be a compilation of essays. same topic, different way of coming at it ( Read more... )

i could make a zine, but honestly, if i am going to work really hard on something, why not a book? there is a market for this idea, i know there is.

I usually don't like anthologies, but if the subject matter is interesting enough I would read it. Go for it!

anthologies seem to be popular these days--especially over at seal press.

i think you can go one of two ways--pitch your idea to an publisher and see if they bite or go ahead and compile it yourself and then sell it as a finished product.

I don't read anymore, but I used to like anthologies because then I can skip the boring parts more readily.
