Alright, I don't feel like working on the calendar tonight, hahah, so I'll actually sit down and get this written up...sorta? I need to get it done, anyways, lol. I still have some other con reports missing, I noticed. I know two of them I started actually typing up, so maybe if I can find them, I'll finish them, too. Tomorrow I've got work off,

Hey, If you're willing to do Youma Idol again next year, I'm more than willing to help out again. It was my first time staffing and it was also the very first thing I staffed so I didn't know what was stepping in too much or not. So if you want someone to place host while you play organizer/song person, I'm more than willing to take that spot, or whatever else. I guess I just feel like the audience deserved more of a cohesive show. I totally understand how hard it is to do so many things at once and you did the best you could. I suck at planning/organizing personally. ^_^;;; Could work, ne?
We didn't really set up anything before hand because we didn't know what was wanted, so we waited for you. We also didn't want attendees interfering with any pre-stuff you needed to do with your contestants, so other than few friends of contestants... Yeah. Being plunged into a big room for my first event to staff was kind of, uh, interesting.

I don't know what happened before I got there, lol, since Ranefea ran there first so I could stay around for the vast majority of the panels. Oh, I thought they way you guys got people in the room (like only letting the contestants in mainly) was great. It was a lot easier to work with that small group.
I can't even imagine XD I've done minor staffing before myself, but I was worked up to bigger things XD Like I started as a badger for Dealer's room, moved onto running karaoke, moved on to set-up, badging, and helping keep Masquerade in order. So, it was a step up each time, but gradual (all at the same con, too). You did great though <3

Ironically, I think Idol had the same or fewer attendees than some of the other things I staffed. (Brad Swaile panel and karaoke. Even the two minor panels on Sunday had a room close to full even though panel 4 was a MUCH smaller room.) I guess with all the concerts/bands, people just weren't all that interested in seeing fellow con-goers sings. =/
