Kuroshitsuji II

Normally this is something I'd post over there, but since it's down, here are my abbreviated thoughts...
The first ep of Kuroshitsuji II was pretty good! Disappointed to see Ciel and Sebastian back so soon though. I was really let down by the original manga, so was looking forward to seeing a fresh take on the general concept, which I like a lot. (I seem to recall this is the author's first manga; I can forgive her for not being supershinyperfect on her first try, but it's always nice to see experienced people take a rough but promising sort of plot and do new shiny things with it, ala the Death Note movies.) Alois Trancy is an interesting choice of personality for a main character, I think; he's a really sharp contrast from the super-serious Ciel, which piques my interest. I guess I enjoy the "wagamama bocchan" type. Truthfully, Hinaku, he reminds me of your Len ffffff And I can't help wondering what he has against that poor maid...
Also I super super super like Claude coughcough. Although I only vaguely know the ending of the original KS anime so I'm not quite following the KSII plot at this point, I think I'm going to have to keep watching for Claude alone, lol.
