New Layout (or how I've ruined a perfectly nice design)

I found this cool layout (the original header features as part of mine) on ruthenia-alba.
Then I made it completely boring.

I just want something new.

I hope the new layout, being boring, will push me (on a more creative day) to customize this properly.
I'm actually dying for something rainy, not snowy...

I hear ya on the wish for something rainy, though I (and I really, really can't believe I'm writing this) could do with a nice minor blizzard (i.e. lots of advance notice, no power outages, ability to get to favorite sub shop but no further) right now - I'd have to stay home and get stuff done and I wouldn't feel bad about it.

Of course come January I will deny that I've ever entertained such a thought - but right now, in the midst of a warm and sunny September, I long for a good excuse to just stay home.

I really like drizzle or soft rain. It makes everything clean and pure, plus people tend to mind their own business, there's more personal space under an umbrella. Sometimes it's really nice.
I like how every weather becomes symbolic for a state of mind - the blizzard lets you stay home, rain lets me slow down and introvert, sunshine makes me feel like everything's possible, strong winds always make me more focused (on surviving the outside lol), fog adds mysteriousness and wonder, when it's too hot everything's heavy and sleepy - and sometimes it's good too.

I'm actually home for a while now.
While looking lazily for a job, I've been taking the time to enjoy the everyday quiet life.
Soon I'll be back on the employment horse, but I'm really glad I rested, got my priorities straight. :)

Yeah, for me "boring layout" usually means "not carrying extra meaning for me" and refers to design and/or lyrics I choose to add.
That increases the possibility of me getting bored with it faster than a meaningful one.
But this code has potential AND the calendar is cool!
I'm dying to blend something rainy and sexy. But each time I begin it starts to feel too ambitious.

Aw, I don't see it as stalking :)

Although this song always brings me close to tears, in this layout it's pretty random :)
That's why the layout feels strange to me..
