I have searched the shelters, papers, and pet shops to no avail. I'm willing to pay up to 175$. I think Jesus just hates my guts.

errrm, aren't you in debt up to your eyeballs and were just asking us to by some of your personal items to raise cash? As someone who likes to behave like a friend, I can't ignore the disparity and not say anything about the obvious disparity between the seriousness of your apparrent finacial situation and the logical disconnect you're exhibiting by even thinking about spending $175 for a dog (not to mention the ongoing costs to care for that dog). The dog won't help much, particularly a Dachshund, in that case... I personally would get a gun and learn to shoot it. Or at the very least mace.

And hon - have you looked into the health problems that these dogs can have?
They can cost you a fortune in the long run...
I know I shouldn't be saying much to you because it's not any of my business - but really are you able to afford a dog right now and give it the care it needs?

Yes, and the expense is worth it to know that I'm not completly alone.

I miss our interactions too -- the journal thing was a false alarm, I got myself onto a messageboard for some emergency 5:30 a.m. counseling and it's back for the time being.
