IMO: not rubbish.

If it's to be no one who knows you, you might consider posting a request at T&C OT or DWfiction.

I am trusting in the kindness of strangers. I figure that anyone who knows me will be nice and not necessarily honest. Is DWfiction a community on LJ? Haven't come across it before. I will have a look because that's a much better idea. It's not that I don't appreciate what you said about the first bits (which I have now changed BTW)it's just that I like you too much to trust you to be unbiased!!

I understand that very well, really. No hard feelings. It's very true though. I know a few writers who wrote only in one genre purposely had writers from another genre go over their work. This was back in the X-Files days. Some times it worked out very well for everyone involved.

dwfiction See what you think of the comm. I have posted here yet, but I probably will once I get my stuff completed.

Don't know if you'll take me but I love nearly everything I've read of your and I'd be more than happy to give you a second opinion!

Thanks so much for the offer and it isn't a matter of me taking you or not, I am just really realy grateful that you volunteered in the first place. I sent it off to someone I don't really know and as I thought, I need to do more work on it before I post it. Maybe that way when you read it you'll like it, rather than being a bit disappointed which you would be if you read the draft I think.

Like many others, I think you are too hard on yourself. I would be happy to volunteer; I've done professional editing (I am known as a bit of a hardass in terms of argument construction), and I'm in a bit of a down period. But admittedly, I'd like to see what you've done whether or not you like it, because you write in a way that interests me, although I can also honestly say there's one ("Spellbinding") which didn't work for me as well as others. Then again, I liked the little epilogue to 5 1/2 that was up for about half an hour!

OK. I think you win the short straw, if only because you said you didn't like Spellbinding which is patently the worst thing I have ever written and fails on so many levels. I think I have done a Spellbinding with Five and a half hours later, but I have read it so many times and it is so long that I can't tell. I am not too hard on myself either. I generally know exactly when a story is going wrong because it becomes difficult to write and takes too long and this one is currently doing the same thing. What is your email address or drop me a line to sap1066@hotmail.com if you don't want to post it here?

I know what you mean about "when it gets to be hard work" - I just finished a professional project that started out "ooh, this is going to be fun!" and ended up, "Oh, please, just let me get to the end!" and I wonder why I did it in the first place...

You can reach me with my livejournal e-mail, or the same user name at verizon dot net. The Verizon one is probably most reliable.

Hi. I don't normally post as I am fairly new to using live journal (& a bit shy). I found your story a few weeks back and I've been anxiously waiting for the next installment before I commented. However I'm posting to say that I think you're being too hard on yourself. I doubt very much the sequel is rubbish given the standard of your other works I have found on Teaspoon. I think you are a very talented writer. I hope that you do decide to post the sequel at some point as I will be keeping an eye out for it and further stories from you.

Hello, I appreciate you commenting, especially if you're shy. People are generally nice on LJ - it's if they don't say anything that you have to watch out. It's because I don't want to let you down that I need someone else to tell me the truth. I really don't know if the sequel will ever see the light of day. Not everything I write does.

You know I would volunteer but I believe you think I'm a bit biased. Alas...damn my allegiances! Isn't it enough that you are the best damn writer on Teaspoon!!! You are the Crowned Queen of Teaspoon Nine Fiction!(shit, I did it again) I hope you post soon...or slip me an illegal copy...I will send you bribes!
