OMG I have to ask... hoowwwww did you get your background to stay fixed?? I have the exact same layout as you, but when I select the option to fix my background, it doesn't, it still scrolls and looks retarded. Any advice you have is appreciated! =)

oh! hi! XD;; i was trying to figure out why you'd commented on this post, and i realized my journal is practically friends only XD;; but you can put me on your list if you want...i keep forgetting to put you on mine =p but i will! XD;;

anyhoo....the background...lesse...I went to Manage Styles, Customize, Edit Customizations, the Background tab, and then it should be under background image scrolling ^^ Then you can choose where the image goes, whether or not it'll repeat, fixed scrolling, and all that fun stuff. Lemme know if you have any more questions! :) ((oh, and for some odd reason, when I was trying to customize my journal a while ago, I never had ANY of those options, or at least not all of them. I'm not sure why, because I'm pretty sure I had a paid account even back then...weird.))
