Pan's Labyrinth (a spoiler-free word of caution)
I saw an ad for Pan's Labyrinth (El Laberinto del Fauno) and loved the dark fantasy imagery portrayed therein. I went to see it last night with a friend who also appreciates dark fantasy, and I avoided finding out much about the film before going, to avoid spoilers. plant shapes
I decided this week to spend some time each day sculpting plant shapes (using some ivory oil-based clay that I hadn't cracked open yet, but have been eager to try out). I heard a few notes of some metal wind chimes with soft, deep tones (the best kind!), and it made me think that it would be cool to have a set of them that were tuned to the opening notes of the theme from Star Trek: The Next Generation. SF locals: Princess Bride TONIGHT
The Princess Bride is playing tonight, 8:30, in Dolores Park.That's all the info I have, but really, what more do you need? Getting to see it on the big screen when I was in Santa Cruz was a truly memorable experience.
