Since my one-on-one student still hasn't returned to school yet, I am still doing a lot of sitting and reading and substituting at my job. I have been flying through many books in the past few weeks as a result. Trying to read every Terry Pratchett book I can get a hold of. Noo, kill that sore throat! I recommend more Terry Pratchett; he cures all that ails you. I thoroughly loved Guards! Guards! by him.

Your description of Carl Sagan reminds me of a more acerbic, sarcastic version of Doc Ezell. (We should totally convince Ezell to write a book. It would be brilliant.)

YES. I don't suppose any of us got a photo of him doing that? *wistful look* Would it be weird to hang around his door in hopes of snapping a picture?
