iBook & PowerBook battery recall

Apple just issued a recall on their batteries they put in a bunch of iBooks and PowerBooks.

Mine is on the list. I never noticed my battery getting hotter than usual, but hey, if they want to send me a new battery i'm not gonna stop them!

You should check if your battery is on this list:

I saw this on the iBook lj group but they weren't nearly as informative and helpful as you are.

I have the crazy hot battery too. I always thought that it was odd that my iBook always felt hot enoguht that I could cook on it :D

nevermind, the website has a different chart than the one you put up.

strange...they changed the chart since I posted. I copied and pasted the chart from their website, so it wasn't like there was any chance for me to mistype it. Anyway, I updated my chart. The best way to check if you get a new one really is to enter the serial numbers for your computer and battery into apple's website. That'll tell you for sure.
