Is it possible to fall asleep at an instrument? Is it possible to play entirely out of your own mind and put no effort into it at all?

I just did. I played for 15 minutes straight without looking up. None of this music was written down, it just happened. I have no idea what it was. I wasn't listening; but from the bits I caught, it sounded pretty

... You just gave me goosebumps. Totally agree with you. I adore improv pieces compared to whatever we have to play in band. And they usually get a lot more across than the 'copies'. Just another odd fault for our country though... I mean, yea for us being rich and all, but really. When you compare us to everyone else that's kinda all we're good at. Asia has super smarts, Europe is known for "omfg ART" and wine, ANARTICA for crying out loud is known for it's research. Losers.

*waves a hand now* But I digress since we do rock... sometimes...

You are being king of mean. Not everything we do is bad. It is just a different way to do things. I don't know why you particularly wanted me to read this. The beginning was introspective and the end was just plain mean.

That was really, really cool and I completely agree. Now that I've been moved to alto, the hardest music seems... Easy.

The key is repition, and I don't think that is what music is supposed to be about..
