This popped into my head when I was procrastinating Chapter Five of Choosing Family; I flushed it out while procrastinating Chapter Six. I have vague ideas about the rest of the story but not much in the way of plot. Feel free to make suggestions.
I own nothing; I make nothing.

Petunia Dursley was beside herself. Of all the women in the Surrey Ladies’ League, she had the honour of hosting the first tea invitation Cissy White had accepted.
The Whites were new to Privet Drive, very sophisticated and very well-off. Her earrings - diamonds, of course - were worth more than a year’s salary, and her wedding ring probably cost three times that. And Vernon’s salary was the highest on the street!
Rumour also had it, the Whites were very well-connected, though no one was certain exactly to whom. Petunia intended to be the one who found out.
The woman was stunningly beautiful, too, making her a very easy woman to hate, unless, of course, you were her dearest friend... which Petunia had every intention of becoming.
Only one thing marred this otherwise perfect occasion.
The boy happened to be inside the house when Mrs. White - Cissy, she simply insisted - arrived, and he’d had to be presented. At least he was clean.

Narcissa Malfoy was bored out of her mind.
She was beginning to think her husband and sister had the right of it: these insipid, fawning creatures really ought to be exterminated.
It would happen, in time. She’d found the Boy.
