wow that's very interesting. indian parents adopting a white person....why wouldn't they adopt an indian person considering how many orphaned indian children there are in this world? and also considering the indian child would probably fit in better? but regardless, that's very interesting. and she's smart too!--that indicates that smartness is not due to skin color (as many ppl believe asians are smarter than other races) but actually due to parenting!! baha....
The director of my program is white but she's been in India since she was 2 and Hindi was her first language. By looking at her you'd never know was more Indian than American until she starts talking and then you get a sense of just how vast her knowledge of the country is. I would imagine this is what Giles Frederickson will be like. In addition to learning English and Arabic at school, he learns Hindi and Tegala (sp?) [what they speak in the Philippines], at home.
I understand your pain with school. We got here and 3 days later we started Hindi classes at 8 am! WTF! I have to get up at 6:30 in order to make it to a 8am class on time!
I hope you computer gets fixed and you find some food. I'd feed you but I don't think my cook sends food internationally.

Where is the compu hospital?!?! Do you have one on campus?! All we have are yucky mac stores :'(
