TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT YOU PUT IN YOUR HEAD

I wish I could have sat down with my 10 year old self and just smacked the kid repeatedly across the face till I was sure he knew what I meant.

Ohh well there's always tommorows stream of sensory input to filter.

I wrote some songs and I don't know why.

I say old chap, isn't that a rather harsh/unreasonable demand? There are some very obvious/overt choices we can make about what we take in (will I watch 7 hours of MTV today? Will I read the wall street journal?), but the vast majority of what we experience isn't directly (or even remotely) under our control.
Instead, I think we should try to be as aware as is possible about what we are absorbing, and attempt to gain access to how this info affects our descision making.
I wish I could punch the 10 year old you as well, I bet he was real bitch ;) Alright, talk to you later bro.

i cant think of what i would have told my 10 year old self. other than, 'Armageddon was a really stupid film, but you'll end up seeing it because everyone else did.'

Something positive I would love you to do would be to sit down with my future 10 year old and have you tell him what you wish you could have told yourself.

I would be honored to do that some day. Minus the smacking of course :)

What are aerogels?

Maybe not so much a definition as a small context related understanding?

That's some phenomenon. The world is pretty amazing, eh?

I had to read through that three times before it was allowed access into my cerebral cortex.

When away from flame, does it hold shape?
I'm a dork.

Anyway...

yes it does, it is like a really fragile glass. In fact if you heat them to thousands of degrees C they actually turn into glass.
