Carolina had just finished dressing Dwee in the outfit Nick's mom had sent her. It was absolutely adorable.
Dwee grinned up, drooling, in his cowboy hat. He had jeans on, with little leather chaps over them, and matching vest with a sheriff badge, boots and a fringed leather jacket. His hat was kept on with a little string, and he waved his arms around when he saw Daddy and Sara come in.
"Beara." Sara giggled. She liked being a teddy bear and all fuzzy.
Nick set her down on the floor and handed her and Dwee little plastic pumpkin buckets.
"Hi, Little Man. I guess you're also the Little Sheriff tonight too, huh?" Nick laughed and tickled Dwee. He felt Sara tugging on the bag he was still holding, so he looked up at Carolina. "Oh, yeah. I almost forgot. Sara has two costumes, and I think she wants to wear them both. Do you know where this one came from?"
"Your mom sent them each a costume, honey." Carolina peeked in the bag and nodded. "That's from your mom. She can put that one on later, and we can get a picture to send your mother. Sara, you can't wear them both at the same time, honey. It won't look right and you'll be too hot."
Carolina knelt down and hugged Sara. "You know, baby girl, costumes aren't just for Halloween. You can dress up and play pretend anytime. You can wear your costumes anytime, for fun!"

He opened the bag so she could see inside.

Nick picked Dwee up and adjusted his little cowboy hat. "We ready to mosey on outta here? Is Lizzie coming with us?"
