As a student of Early Music History, I am extremely lucky to have grown up in the Episcopal Church. I can't even imagine trying to learn the difference between the mass settings and the psalm settings, let alone their order in the service, from scratch. I've got the same proclivity for early music, probably due to all those years in the choirstalls. It's great that you get to spend a whole semester on it, since my music history curriculum was a little shoehorned towards the front end, and I didn't care for 20th century stuff.

iPods are so great. It's one of those things that makes you wonder what you did before being able to carry around all the audio you'd ever need in a deck of cards.
