It continues to amaze me (not in a good way) how we can all go on with our daily lives barely aware of what's going on in the world--or if we do konw, it simply doesn't hit us the way it should.

Are we that immune to violence?

If we were the way I believe God intended us to be, we wouldn't be able to watch the news this week without crying.

I think that's why we make ourselves immune to it. Sadly, there's so much violence around us (true violence too, video games and TV dont count) that if we let ourslves be affected by it all we wouldn't have any psyche left.
