This is an anxious week for our family! Sam's pediatrician is concerned with the rapid growth of his head. It could mean that pressure is building up inside and not draining properly (hydrocephalus). So we have to wait until Friday evening for a head ultrasound and then it's weekend when nobody does anything, so we won't hear anything til Monday ( Read more... )

i saw that on a tv show before. I think they just put a shunt in and it relieves the pressure. I know the shunt does have to be replaced everynow and then but the child looked very happy and healthy. I wouldnt worry too much.

Thank you! My friend who is an RN was just over and she was very reassuring, saying that he doesn't really habe any of the symptoms other than head size which he could have just gotten from his daddy. I'm trying not to worry.
