First, although my week has been kind of boring case-wise (show up, you effing defendants!  I want to do more than mark down a continuance on the file...), today I got a full-on tour of the jail.  The showers, the cells (unlocked, with inmates), the intake, the infirmary, even the food.  Not the least disturbing are all of the signs stating that,

An inevitable slip, being as so much of my life revolves around crack these days. Don't do crack, kids. It fucks your shit up, mostly because God only knows what it's been cut with.

The U.S. Sentencing Commission, where they ensure that crack dealers will be go to prison for a long, long time. Assuming they get convicted, which I am learning is a big IF.

I loved her speech and totally had chills halfway through the video. She is great. I'm honored to say that I had the privilege to vote for her in 2000. By the time she was needing to step down, I was wishing I'd voted for her in the primary. :/ I like Obama, but Hillary is a true president.
