Harold is drawn to interesting, vibrant people, and Courtney fits the bill. She's used white magic, which he senses as "good" which puts him at ease. She's also been kind to him, when he can kind of tell that she might not be that patient normally. So, in conclusion, she (and Irma) are totally his BFFs right now. He would love to sit down with Courtney and a blank journal and listen to her talk about herself for HOURS.
Sarah thinks it's good that Charlotte and April are friends. She can see the little girl in Charlotte that never got a chance at a normal life, and that saddens her. If she got to spend a little time with Charlotte, she'd most likely end up caring for her a great deal. The problem is her Stranger entourage, because she doesn't want to have anything to do with them, and every time she sees her, she's worried the Strangers will be right around the corner. To a lesser extent, it absolutely breaks her heart to see the Doctor, so she's always afraid he'll pop up, too.
Courtney would be flattered to hear herself described as interesting and vibrant. She's being careful with her magic in the Darkplot so as not to freak him out.
Charlotte feels a little torn between her entourage and the Dark City folks. The Strangers are really her family, but she'd like to explore her human side, as well.
That's good of her. Harold wouldn't think less of Courtney for using darker magic, but because he can't protect himself from some of her spell effects, he'd probably be incapacitated. Of course, if she had to do something to free them, he'd forgive her. He's a very forgiving sort, usually.
Hmm, I don't think you have. I can't remember if you have, anyway!
Sarah thinks Dirk is intelligent, witty, and a little annoyed that he invited her for drinks simply because he had the hots for her. But he obviously cares for his friends (he came to Melinda's rescue), so she thinks there's a good guy in there. She'd enjoy chatting with him again, maybe even as Mary, just to get even a little.
Tom thinks Rat is bright and easy-going, and enjoys getting cab rides from him because they can talk about city stuff. :) He feels bad that he doesn't have a place of his own yet, but he understands that one's pride can prevent one from accepting charity. He doesn't push up against it the way Sarah always does (subtly, but still). Part of him feels a little guilty for thinking that Harley is smoking hot. ;)
Poor Sarah, Dirk has the hots for just about every woman he meets, at least between the ages of twenty and fifty. She shouldn't take it personally. That he'd go for drinks and hang out with her even knowing she's attached means he likes he as a person too. But, y'know, he's still going to have the hots for her.
Rat is pretty damn smart, or at least more than most people give him credit for. It's kind of a shame Tom didn't get to see him as a big dumb lug because it would've been funny. He can't argue that Harley's not hot...
Sarah is very fond of Mitsuru. She first saw her as a hard-driven perfectionist who needed to loosen up a little, but now she understands much more what elements have shaped Mitsuru to be this way. She enjoys having Mitsuru visit her city because it gives the girl a chance to relax a little and experience some fun things in a safe way. They don't really interact at school, but Sarah sees her as Mitsuru's teacher of sorts, in lessons on how to enjoy the simpler things in life. :)
And, of course, she's worried sick about Mitsuru being kidnapped, and partly blames herself for not warning her sooner about the Strangers being in the Nexus.
Oh, and also, I am back from my mini-vacay and I can NPC big bads or whatever if you need me to. :3
I think we still have a few groups making their way through the last level; Doctor Schreber's group will be going tonight, if you'd like to mod for them instead! (If that's the case, I also have some prewritten scenes that you can always plug in, if you'd like.)
Oh, I'd love to mod for Schreber's group, that'd be fun. Is it all right if I mod for Courtney, Caspar, Irma, and Thorn's group, too? I figure it'd be easier since I'm playing someone in that group anyway.
I'd love to see your prewritten scenes! That would make the modding a lot easier.
Ohhh man. Tom's thoughts are very jumbled up right now because he can remember how Sam felt about Caitlyn, and how that both overlays and amplifies how he feels about Harley.
Before Dark!plot, Tom liked Harley and felt pretty close to her. He finds her very attractive, both physically and personality-wise, but he had put her in the 'friend' category because she's with Rat.
As Sam, he was attracted to Cat, but didn't want to act on it for fear of ruining their partnership. So now that he's back, he remembers their flirty relationship, and now isn't sure how he feels. He wants to shove all those feelings away and is finding it difficult, especially because she's still missing and he can't help her.
Oh, and also, he feels like he was a much stronger, braver man as Sam, and now he's back to being something of a coward, and that makes him feel inadequate for Harley.
Trust me, Harley is going to be just as jumbled. Her memories of Sam will make her very uncertain how to approach Tom, at least until she sorts things out.
But trust me, she does believe Tom is strong. Either as Sam, or just as himself.
I remember. :) Ryan's impression of The Shadow is colored by the comic books, of course, but it was an absolute thrill to meet him and to be able to offer him PINpoint advice. He was a little intimidated, of course, but not afraid. Ryan is very morally grounded and doesn't have very much evil lurking in his heart. ;)
Harold is not sure what to make of Thorn. Thorn's mana consumption weirds him out a little. It feels wrong. But at the same time, Thorn himself seems like a good person, and he certainly empathizes with his insecurities. I think if they were in a calmer, more normal situation, he'd want to sit down with Thorn and ask him about his life and how he came to get his tattoos and whatnot.
The Shadow is a naturally intimidating person, but Ryan made a fairly good impression. I'll admit I was still finding my way in playing him at the time.
It's not precisely mana consumption, although it tends to come off that way. Thorn is very much a blot of wrongness to those with any sense for magical energies though, because he's this blip of a black hole. Animals dislike him for this reason, too. Thorn's insecurities stem largely from his childhood, of course, but I can't imagine Harold trying to ask him about his past would go well at all. This plot should ultimately lead to him being slightly more confident overall, but that's still not saying much I'm afraid. He also has a certain amount of concern over knowing his secrets are his alternate's secrets, and it would be overstepping his bounds to give his alternate's secrets away.
