i know that we (well, me at least, i won't speak for everyone) felt for a long time like your year/the year below you never really were freshmen. or never knew the 'freshman experience', if you will, as we knew it. because there was such a smaller divide between years than there had been when we were freshman. i mean, we were hardly spoken to. we just sat in awe of really attractive boys for really long periods of time. haha.
on the other hand, i think every year thinks this. i'm pretty sure upperclassmen don't realize how intimidating they are. across the board. because the girls two years above me felt that my year didn't know what it was to be freshmen. they thought we had it easy.
so it's just a cycle. or maybe being a freshman really is getting easier? i doubt it.
does that make sense? i'm a little incoherent right now. sorry if i really don't make sense.
