So, I'm cohosting a baby shower in a couple of months. I've only ever been to a couple of baby showers so I've been googling "how to host baby shower" guides for ideas.

I have a fetus-shaped cookie cutter and made a bunch of fetus sugar cookies for a baby shower-- they were a big hit!

The only acceptable baby shower game in my opinion is one that I think we may have made up-- hand out scraps of paper and everyone has to come up with a baby name or 2-- realistic or fake. I think that's one of the best parts of my baby scrapbook-- I saved all of them and put them in it. I love your analysis of the gender crap!

I think it was posted on BoingBoing ages ago and I was like- ew, weird... oh wait, I want one!! I also made gingerbread fetuses at xmas. They look awesome with white frosting piped around. You could totally borrow mine if we can work off a drop off or something.

Alas, it turns out there are going to be older relatives at the shower who wouldn't appreciate the glorious humor of fetus cookies.

we had a co-ed shower for my sister-in-law and brother, and basically it was just an awesome party with good food and drinks (and cornhole in the backyard) and then they opened presents and we all cooed over them. there weren't any games and no one seemed to mind. i, frankly, preferred it.
