When my grandmother was living with us this spring, she reminisced about being around Spenser's age and watching her grandmother rally the women in their community and work for women to get the right to vote. That's right, it really wasn't that long ago that women were silent in our government. We've had that right for less than one hundred years

I've seen _Iron Jawed Angels_, and it's AWESOME! When I taught U.S. History while student teaching I showed parts of it to my students to illustrate the gravity of the situation with women fighting for the right to vote.

I has never been a time when I did not vote.
I don't see that changing.

I have always thought it strange that there is so much fear in male-dominated societies of others who have a little different plumbing.
