I sooooo did not see that coming - had all sorts of other theories going on in my head but THAT?? Took me COMPLETELY by surprise I'm soooo glad I wasn't spoiled for this!!!
Alan Tudyk is a total and utter God!!! He and Joss are forcing me into polytheism here cos I totally worship them both.
The only thing that would have made this better would be watching it with my best friend or my brother cos there is nothing like sharing that moment of FUCK!!!!!! as it happens. When Giles appeared back in S6 and was all 'I'd like to test that theory' I had the exact same moment of FUCK!!!! but I got to share that with my bessie mate.
However, pity party over, I just cannot get over how much I DID NOT see it coming!! As I said in a reply to Carly's bloody_bint post I was entertaining all sorts of other mad theories such as Ballard being Alpha and I was trying to fit things from the series around this theory and making up ridiculous motivations for stuff that had happened!
I went back and watched it from just prior to him turning and you can totally tell he's Alpha, the manic grin and menace are becoming more and more evident as he programs the systems and with hindsight it's so obvious I feel like a total dick for not seeing it - but I'm so glad I didn't!!
Ohhh I'm just soo happy with Joss right now - I love him! And I'm not even coherent so I really should stop this ramble!
I am going to make the same plea as Carly bloody_bint though - if you have not been watching PLEASE do - you will not regret it!!! Don't ever doubt Mr Whedon!
