So, first lesson I learned from Play Date? I really can't write a teenage relationship. Or at least, not the one I need to write. Skye can flirt Colin's pants off and break his heart, but her actual boyfriend... there's like NO chemistry. None at all.

Mwahahaha!
I finished my first Nano story this year, Stupid Girls, and I nailed the landing on 40,000 words. Because I'm awesome like that.
It actually still counted towards the 11th, so I can now proudly claim to have written a book in eleven days (ten, if we don't count that Friday I was sick.)

Oh, I love this moment. The one where you realize you've been furiously plotting all over a random piece of paper for the last half hour and what you wrote there is the best, the most epic and awesome way ever to write that big climactic scene, tie all your story strands into one, beautiful, interwoven knot and your story will be the best story ( Read more... ) -

Script Frenzy

Since NaNoWriMo 2010 worked so well, I'm participating in this year's Script Frenzy. 100 pages of script in the month of April is the official goal. My personal goal is to finish a first draft of Stigmata, all 16 episodes of it. I have the basic "A" plot down for those episodes, so I imagine I won't be ( Read more... )
