So, Zac has been accepted into a master's program at OISE. Not the MA program he applied to, but the MEd with the same concentration (international comparative education or something along those lines). He's a bit disappointed because the MEd is intended for those who are planning to go into teaching, and he wanted to have the option of going the ( Read more... )

Oh Sarah that is great! I mean, just that he got into something is good news, and a good start. (Like me, at least he knows at this point that he'll be going *somewhere* come fall).

My fingers are crossed for him getting into the other programs too. I really hope I'm still in T.O. in the fall.

I think it definitely bodes well for the other programs, at least. OISE is supposed to be very good.

come to halifax for a few months :p

and just because the program is "tailored" from teaching doesn't mean you can't go down the road to becoming an academic. it's just a different road.
