this week has been quite intense. i never really realized the reality of icu. you go in one hour, see the man next to you, see his family around him laughing and smiling, and you come in 2 hours later and he is no longer alive. it's intense

I saw him on Tuesday night, and he seemed pretty coherent. The nurse also told us that his white blood count is in the 'good' range now, so that's good. I think they're suppose to move him to a regular room once his oxygen levels are okay.
