Not a terribly exciting weekend, but I’ll chronicle it here faithfully. Friday was Hugh’s birthday, which makes him the 2 billionth person I know who has a February birthday. I heard Morningwood on MTV2 the other day. They were pretty sweet, but "Morningwood" is kind of a dirty name for a band.

Are the school years in Japan different than they are here? When do they start and end?

The school year ends in March and will begin again in April. The summer vacation is only a month long, and there's a winter vacation of about two weeks at the end of December/beginning of January. And don't be ahatin' on BE now, we've had some good times together. There's nothing like a bottle of wine and a night of unbridled weeping to lift the spirits, now is there?
