I agree with Prop 8, but I am still on the fence about Measure Q. From my experience the majority of the traffic is from Larkspur to SF. My understanding is that it will use the existing track, but will use this for more than just passenger trains, which = delays which = lower ridership. I have also read that the bike/ped path is more for "green politic" and less for function, meaning riders and walkers are not going to be best served by it; politicians will be.

I will keep reading and let you know my thoughts...

do you know what else they're planning to use the rails for?

i still think it's a good idea. the 2 lane corridor btwn novato and sanra rosa is pretty gnarly almost all the time. and even if the worst traffic is south of san rafael, if you only get some commuters from petaluma and north off the road that still means less traffic in that larkspur to sf part of 101.

anything that allows us to use our cars less is aces in my book.

although, i have to say, i'm not sure about measure 1 a (high speed train from Sac to San Diego). it sounds really expensive and not totally thought all the way through. thoughts?
